Instead of relying on fixed charts you cannot change, you build your own views. You can freely group, aggregate, and filter data, and drill down to specific transactions at any time. Analyze your cashflow, profit and loss (P&L), or net worth trends. Charts support monthly, weekly, and daily averages, offering various visual types — from bar and line charts to waterfalls, treemaps, pivot tables, and quick KPI indicators.

Assemble your overview screen using the charts and metrics that matter most to you. Save your favorite views to your library and reuse them anytime. We have also prepared ready-made cards (widgets) that instantly show your monthly income and expenses, your net worth, or how you are tracking against your budgets.

Record payments into nested categories (up to 5 levels deep), use tags for specific projects or trips, split a single receipt across multiple categories, and transfer money between accounts. You can isolate specific movements, like loan drawdowns, so they don't distort your standard income and expenses. You can always export your data to Excel or CSV and set a custom start for your fiscal year.

Classify each account by its type — whether it's liquid cash, investments and property, or loans and liabilities. Talero automatically maintains the historical trajectory of your balances. When an investment's value changes, you can record this revaluation (unrealized gain/loss) separately so it doesn't mix with your actual daily cashflow. You can archive historical accounts or exclude them from your total net worth without losing any data.

We don't connect directly to your bank accounts — you upload the files yourself, keeping your bank login credentials strictly private. We process common formats: Excel, CSV, OFX, European standard files (camt), and bank PDFs. You only need to map your columns once. Transactions are then automatically sorted using logical rules (e.g., "if the note contains Lidl, assign to Groceries"). Optionally, you can enable AI assistance to read PDFs and suggest categories. Once you approve a suggestion, it becomes a standard local rule.

Set limits for specific categories or entire groups — either as a fixed amount or as a percentage of your income. The app supports recording transactions in over ten major global currencies. Amounts are automatically converted into your workspace's base currency, ensuring your charts remain consistent.

The application won't overwhelm you with features you don't use. You can enable multiple accounts, tags, counterparties (clients/vendors), VAT handling, invoice reference numbers, or tax-deductible flags only when you actually need them.

Under a single login, you can maintain separate workspaces for your personal finances, a side project, and your business. You can invite a partner or an accountant to a workspace with editor or view-only rights. For business owners, we provide tools to track counterparties, VAT rates, and invoice reference numbers.

The interface is available in English, Czech, and Slovak. You can install the application as a PWA (Progressive Web App) directly from your browser to your desktop or phone home screen without needing an app store. Your data is securely hosted on servers within the European Union. Connections are encrypted, we do not store passwords in plain text, and you can secure your access with two-factor authentication (2FA). User data across different workspaces is strictly isolated.
