To ensure accuracy, we send only relevant data to the language model—after our algorithm strips out all sensitive identifiers. Everything runs through a paid, commercial Gemini API. Your financial data is NEVER used to train external models.
Full transparency: What data goes to the AI?
When you use AI in Talero, you should know exactly what happens behind the scenes. For PDF imports, the entire file is sent to the language model. For smart categorization, we send the relevant transaction context, which is cleaned first to remove sensitive data and unnecessary technical details.
Why? PDF statements are chaotic, requiring the language model to extract structured tables. For categorization, the AI leverages the rich transaction context to accurately infer categories and draft rules without endless manual setup.
Your safeguard: Everything routes exclusively through Google's paid commercial Gemini API. Sensitive identifiers (like IBANs or long account numbers) are stripped before sending, and your data is NEVER used to train external models.
